The C7 Christmas light bulb is slightly smaller than the C9 and a popular option for wrapping columns, door frames, large windows, and the trunks of large outdoor trees. Choosing bulbs and stringers separately allows you to completely customize your light display and change out the bulbs as needed. For example, if you want to hang C9 Christmas lights on your roof in the winter and then illuminate your back patio with globe patio lights in the summer, you can use the same string and simply swap out the C9 bulbs for globe lights with the same bulb base size (usually E12 or E17).

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Christmas Lights, Etc of over 2,000 Christmas consumers, 66% now prefer LEDs over incandescent. So, why are so many consumers making the switch?
